    Default Things identified by brand name

    I was having a conversation with somebody the other day about how some things are referred to by a brand name no matter who makes the product. I bet we can name a ton of these. If you don't know what I'm talking about, see the list below and you should understand.

    Q-tips
    Band-Aids
    Crock-Pots
    Windex
    Coke (In some parts of the country)
    Ace Bandages

    Hey I got one....skill saw. Kleenex is one too.

    What about polo shirts? I don't know if that works - it might be the name of the style or it might be a brand (I'm not sure).

    Working in the Telecommunications field I have alot of people who refer to internet as Road Runner from Time Warner.

    How about Cool Whip? I guess some people call it whipped cream, but I think a lot of people call it cool whip. You guys remember that song from the 80s? Whip it....now whip it good.
